During lockdown, Mission Joy is delivering food to families in dire need.
Mission Joy partnered with Clown Me In/CAPE to offer the “Creative Arts for Peace and Equality” project, on social therapy, art expressive therapy, clowning, improv and puppetry.
This workshop provided the participants with art-based tools that would improve their psychosocial health, reduce post-traumatic repercussions, reduce isolation, increase freedom of speech, challenge destructive gender stereotypes, and develop new social networks. It also offered the participants a space to vent and heal, within the crippling current lockdown measures.
Mission Joy partnered with From Teens to Youth and Wrapped in Dignity in the “Blast of Giggles” Christmas event. 100 children affected by the blast were invited to participate in this event (divided into 4 shifts to respect social distancing). The event included animation shows, activities, surprises and personalized gifts.
Mission Joy collaborated with Sa3ed Tas3ad NGO and distributed and decorated 200 Christmas trees in small shops as well as homes of families affected by the August 4 blast. Commuting in a festive tic toc, volunteers from Mission Joy and Sa3ed Tas3ad, together with the Lebanese Red Cross Youth Department went to the homes accompanied by Santa Claus and decorated the Christmas trees along with children residing in the houses.
Mission Joy, Dafa campaign and Al Jadeed TV invited 200 adults and children to participate in the Christmas festivities. An unforgettable night for all!
Mission Joy, From Teens to Youth and Art of Change offered children who have been affected by the Beirut explosion a positive and therapeutic event to help them cope with the stress. The children were able to express their feelings in a constructive and supportive environment using Arts and Crafts as a vehicle with artist Brady the Black.
“Kids of Lebanon”, bringing back the joy! An initiative by Mission Joy and Dafa campaign, in collaboration with the UNDP, aimed at helping children overcome their trauma through self expression and joy. The event welcomed 240 children affected by the Beirut explosion. It included many recreational activities for children, releasing emotions through play, painting, dancing and singing, in addition to live interactive shows. The event also included psychosocial support offered by The Vibe Wellness Circle and Embrace.
Nothing measures up to seeing joy on children’s faces. A beautiful day distributing bicycles to kids affected by the Beirut explosion with the Da3wes initiative.
